“Childhood Memories,” 40″ x 60,” Diptych on stretched canvas.
“This mixed media painting includes acrylic, watercolor, charcoal, graphite and colored pencil and is a replication of my memory of drawing on the walls of my bedroom as I stood in my baby bed.
Because my parents had confiscated all of my drawing materials to preserve their walls, I resorted to drawing by scraping the wall with my hair barrette. This worked fairly well for me and I was able to accomplish my work of art despite the absence of materials at hand.”

  • Shout out to Janis Kirstein who created the design for this lovely tote. The design reminds me of the Holy Spirit so it’s become the bag I tote to church with all my church gear!

  • I really enjoyed looking at your work.  I am impressed that you can work in so many formats, but you intuitively understand how it is all related. Your abstract paintings are my favorites–they remind me a little of Twombly and Gorky.
